To me, that’s a sign they’re committed to improving their craft instead of settling for the bare minimum.
I also look for proper insurance because accidents can happen even to experienced professionals. Insurance helps protect both the electrician and me if something unexpected occurs during the project. When licensing, certification, and insurance come together, I feel much more confident knowing my investment is in capable hands.
One thing I appreciate most is that qualified electricians continue learning throughout their careers. Electrical codes evolve, technology advances, and safety requirements become more refined. By staying current through continuing education, licensed professionals can install and repair electrical systems that meet today’s standards instead of relying on outdated practices.
That peace of mind is hard to put a price on. Just as I wouldn’t trust a pilot who skipped flight school, I don’t want someone guessing their way through my home’s electrical system. Choosing a properly licensed and certified electrician gives me confidence that the work is being done safely, correctly, and with my family’s well being as the top priority.
